It's not often you catch me without any mascara or eyeliner on. And unfortunately, with that comes pesky dark under-eye circles, a problem a lot of Latinas I know struggle with. But even the best eyecreams can take a while before they bring you results. So how do you get rid of those annoying raccoon eyes quickly? Well I like to use an old school beauty trick my abuela highly recommends that gets those dark circles gone in seconds!

I'm referring to green tea and cucumber ice cubes--and it's pure genius. Why does it work? Because caffeine, cucumbers, and cold all help to reduce swelling in the under eye area as well as fade darkness. Some people like to also add some lemon into the mix, but I strongly suggest you don't especially if you have sensitive eyes or wear contact lenses like me. Check out the recipe below for instantly refreshed looking eyes!

What you need:

4 green tea bags

1 cucumber

Ice cube trays

 What to do:

Step 1: The first thing you want to do is dip four tea bags into a small bowl of boiling hot water. Then let it cool for a few hours

Step 2: Now dice cucumbers into small squares and try placing them into each well of your ice cube tray.

Step 3: Carefully pour the tea into each well and then place the ice cube tray into the freezer for a couple of hours.

Step 4: Once everything freezes, remove an ice cube from the tray and gently rub it around your eyes for a few minutes. Believe me you'll notice an instant difference!
