Sofia Vergara stunned tonight at the 2013 SAG Awards wearing a sophisticated Donna Karan Atelier white gown. But perhaps the best part of the Modern Family actress's look was her makeup? Oh and I probably should mention that Modern Family won an award tonight for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series tonight! Anyhow, makeup artist Kayleen McAdams for CoverGirl did her look and went with a purple eyeshadow to compliment her gown. I love how subtle and elegant the color looked. Check out a few of McAdams expert tips below to recreate this red-carpet look yourself at home!

Step 1: McAdams began by applying liquid foundation to Sofia's face and then set it with a pressed powder along her T-zone so it would last all night. A soft pink blush was used to make her look bright and fresh. Try a universally flattering shade, like NARS Blush in Orgasm ($28).

Step 2: CoverGirl SmokyShadow Blast in Purple Plume ($8) was then sweeped all over  lids. McAdams smudged CoverGirl Queen Collection Vivid Impact Eyeliner in Carbernet ($8) all along her top and bottom lashes.

Step 3: The look was finished with three coats of a volumizing mascara. I recommend Sephora Collection Outrageous Volume Mascara in Ultra Black ($15).

Step 4: A tinted lip balm was applied to lips for a hint of glossy sheen. I love Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint in Charmed ($24).
