Why all Latina mamis need to get a massage

Last weekend I was feeling really stressed out and I couldn't quite figure out why. The minute I woke up, my body ached and I could barely do much more than stand for a while under a nice, hot shower. That's when I realized what I really needed: a really good massage to relieve my sore muscles.

A new study released last week found that massage really does work when it comes time to easing sore muscles after a rough workout at the gym. In fact, even just 10 minutes can reduce inflammation and aid your body's recovery. But that's not all massage can do. Massage can help all Latina moms feel more relaxed thanks to all of the health benefits of touch. And that's not all.

Through various studies, according to the Huffington Post Healthy Living, massage has been proven to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol, decrease stiffness and pain (particularly in your back, where many of us suffer), it can help you get a better night's rest, increase disease-fighting white blood cells, help ease PMS symptoms, make you more alert, reduce the number of headaches you have, increase blood flow to the skin to make you look younger and is even beneficial in relieving some of the awful symptoms when undergoing cancer treatment. What mami doesn't need all that?!

With so many benefits to massage, it's time to book an appointment. But you don't have to spend tons of money to get these mental and physical benefits. Instead, ask for a private session with your honey or even a friend. All you need is 10 minutes or rubbing each other's backs to feel the relief. And what's better than that?

Are you planning to book a massage appointment soon or exchanging massages with a friend or loved one?
